What Unmask is
Unmask is a non-clinical decision-support and reflection tool for parents. It provides short generated suggestions for de-escalation, preparation, repair and observing family patterns.
What Unmask is not
Unmask is not a doctor, psychologist, crisis service, diagnostic tool, treatment, child-safety authority or substitute for professional advice. It does not assess whether a child or parent has ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, a sensory condition or any other diagnosis. It does not advise on medication.
Emergency and immediate danger
Do not rely on Unmask when anyone may be seriously hurt, a weapon is present, a person cannot get to safety, there is suicidal intent, a serious injury exists, or you fear you may physically harm your child. In Australia, call Triple Zero (000) when life is in danger.
The app’s safety screen is not a complete risk assessment. A user can misunderstand a question, omit facts or receive an incorrect response.
Generated responses may be wrong
AI-generated text may be inaccurate, unsuitable for your child, repetitive or based on incomplete context. Use your judgement. Ignore any response that would increase danger, humiliation, coercion or distress.
Parent responsibility
You remain responsible for decisions, supervision, safety and seeking qualified support. Do not use Unmask to justify harmful conduct, delay emergency help, avoid mandatory reporting obligations or replace an agreed clinical safety plan.
Children do not use the app directly
The current beta is intended for adult parents and carers. It is not designed for a child to create an account or independently submit personal information.
Acceptable use
You must not attempt to use the API as a general AI proxy, bypass rate limits, extract hidden instructions, introduce malicious code, scrape the service, interfere with availability or submit illegal content.
Beta availability
The beta may change, fail or be withdrawn without notice. Offline general fallbacks are included because a tailored service cannot be guaranteed during a hard family moment.
Early access and founding pricing
Early access is currently open and free. The confirmed future founding membership price is AUD $12 per month, but no paid subscription exists yet. Before payment is enabled, checkout will present the final inclusions, renewal, cancellation and refund terms.
Intellectual property
Unmask branding, interface, original copy and software remain the property of their respective owner. You may copy an individual generated response for personal family use.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Australian law, Unmask is supplied without a guarantee that it will prevent escalation or improve a particular outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights.
